Cancellations
We understand stuff happens that cannot be avoided. Please notify us 24 hours prior to your pups appointment. This allows us to fill the spot with another pup that is in need of grooming.
If you have scheduled multiple pets and decide to change the number of pets being groomed, please give us a 24 hour notice.

Habitual, multiple cancellations/reschedules may result in termination of services or a required prepayment of the next booked appointment. An appointment will be considered a "now show" 15 minutes after we arrive at the location and cannot access your dog.

Cancellations/reschedules in less than 24 hours and no shows are subject to a $50 cancellation fee

As a mobile service, our schedule is subject to interruptions and delays including traffic delays, inclement weather, construction, refueling etc. We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstance, and will alert you as soon as possible to any changes.
Payment and Pricing
Payment and Pricing
Prices are all inclusive and cannot be split. What the Pup accepts cash, checks, and card. If paying with cash, please make sure to have the correct amount at time of service as we do not carry cash for safety reasons. Payment is due at the time of service. Invoices must be paid 24 hours prior to service. A $35 fee will be added for any bounced or returned checks.
Client understands that grooming costs are estimates and may vary greatly based on coat condition, special handling, size, and temperament. Some services may require a deposit to secure an appointment.
Vaccinations, Illness, and Parasitic Infesations
Proof of current rabies date is required, tags will not be accepted as form of proof. Other vaccines are highly recommended to keep your pet safe and healthy. What The Pup will not be held responsible for any illness resulting from lack of vaccinations.

We ask that you reschedule your appointment if your dog is showing any signs of illness (coughing, lethargy, diarrhea, sneezing) prior to your appointment. If signs of illness are present during the grooming process, What the Pup will cancel the appointment and return your pup to you.

What the Pup strives to be a parasite free environment. All pups with any signs of fleas, ticks or worms will be bathed in a flea and tick shampoo. An additional $25 fee will be added to the grooming price. Flea shampoos are effective for getting rid of any adult fleas and soothing skin irritation but do not work as a preventive. Your dog, home, and yard will need to be treated to address the issue.
Health and Behavior
Please be up front about your dogs behavior and any concerns with the grooming process. What the Pup does accept fearful, reactive, aggressive, senior pups, and other wise difficult dogs. These pups often need a different approach and these "comfort grooms" will be tailored to what your pup can handle. This may not be the groom you have in mind and we may need to skip a few steps to keep your pups stress level low in order to promote a safe and positive experience. Pups who experience extreme behaviors due to high stress will be returned to the owner as is. Full payment is due upon your pup's return. What the Pup reserves the right to use restraining equipment including but not limited to grooming loops, belly bands, muzzles, cones, and leashes.Â
Should an accident occur, we will alert you as soon as possible and proceed together on the best choice moving forward. Communication between What the Pup and your vet is mandatory in the event of veterinary bill payment/reimbursement.Â
Please alert us to any pre-existing conditions (re-occuring ear infections, heart murmers, history of seizures, torn ACL, etc.), so we can do our best to not aggravate them. What the Pup will not accept heavily sedated dogs.
Satisfaction
We strive to make sure to understand your needs and expectations. If you feel you pup's groom needs to be adjusted, please do not hesitate to contact us within the first 48 hours after the groom so that we can adjust the style. Any touch-ups after that time period may require full payment of services due to the condition of the coat changing from daily wear, making it difficult to re-style without re-bathing.
